Professor Dr Thomas Andersson, Chairman, IKED and IUET, Sweden

Thomas Andersson, Prof., Dr., is Chairman of the International Organisation for Knowledge Economy and Enterprise Development (IKED), of the International Entrepreneurship Academy (Intentac), and of the International University Association (IUET), which is the Swedish Partner Institute of the Centre for Global Competitiveness and Performance of the World Economic Forum. Currently he is the main expert on the Science, Technology and Innovation Policy (STIP) Review of the Islamic Republic of Iran, undertaken by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). He holds several international expert and advisory positions, including with the EU and in the Sultanate of Oman. Previously he was Vice Chancellor of Jönköping University in Sweden and prior to that Deputy DIrector of Science, Technology and Industry at the OECD Secretariat in Paris, where he headed the Structural Policies Branch and coordinated the technology part of the OECD Jobs Study as well as the OECD Growth study. He has published widely and been a Visiting Fellow at Harvard University, the University of Sao Paulo and the Bank of Japan. He is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciennces (IVA).
