Mr. Brian Alvin Fam Kai Sheng has been awarded for Best Poster Presentation entitled "Investigating the natural excipients for development of sunscreen cream base " in the Two days International e-Conference on EXPANDING FRONTIER OF PHARMACEUTICAL RESEARCH TOWARDS GLOBAL EXIGENCY held on 15 & 16 Oct 2020 organized by Department of Pharmaceutics, Karpagam College of Pharmacy Coimbatore In association with Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Coimbatore.
Received this award at The 19th Malaysia International Expo on Invention and Innovations (MTE) 2020 which was held from 20th â€" 22nd of February 2020. She exhibited the innovation called 'Cocoa Butter: A Healthier Alternative to Fast Melt Tablets'.

Pharmacogenomics research attachment at University of Chicago, working on participatory genomic test associated with CYP2D6 enzyme by Invader Panel Assay and TaqMan® Copy Number Variation, translation of genotype into phenotype and their correlations with clinically important drugs therapy.
Selected to attend an intensive summer programme on discovery of new medicines and personalising medicines with the genomics and biotechnology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada in 2017.
Selected to participate in a summer research programme at the University of Chicago where he was able to enhance his knowledge in pharmacogenomics in 2018. Conducted assays that detect Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) for important genes in DNA throughout the summer programme with the project based on Open Array, which can detect huge amount of SNPs, up to 480 in a single run.
He was selected to participate in Pharmaceutical Research Summer Programme at Nihon Pharmaceutical University, Japan (Division of Pharmacotherapy) to analyse concentrations of melatonin and norepinerphrine in breast milk and mammary epithelial cell by HPLC-ECD or LC/MS/MS in 2018.
