ICCAD 2026 is the inaugural global conference organized by the ICAD Institute at UCSI University, establishing a premier platform for interdisciplinary dialogue across creative arts, design and emerging technologies.
With the theme “DESIGN-Verse”, the conference explores the expanding ecosystem of design — where creativity meets digital innovation, culture, sustainability and immersive experience. The program features keynote speeches, paper presentations, panel discussions, exhibitions and networking sessions.
Participants engage with emerging trends, cutting-edge research and real-world applications across multimedia design, digital arts, animation, visual communication, creative technology and sustainable design — positioning UCSI University as a regional leader in creative arts and design research.

Professor Hans Martin Rall
An internationally recognised academic, author, animator and creative-industry expert specialising in animation, storytelling and visual communication. Renowned for his contributions to animation education, transmedia storytelling and creative arts research across Asia and internationally, his work continues to inspire students, researchers and professionals in animation, game design and digital creative industries worldwide.
Usamah Zaid Yasin
A renowned Malaysian animator, director and entrepreneur, best known as founder and CEO of WAU Animation — the studio behind Ejen Ali. Formerly at Les' Copaque Production (Upin & Ipin), and a Multimedia University graduate, he is one of Malaysia's leading figures in the animation industry, elevating the country's animation onto the global stage.
