UCSI is one of Malaysia's foremost private universities. It is ranked in the top 250-350 in both the 2015 and 2016 QS Asian University Rankings. UCSI is also rated in Tier 5 (Excellent) – the highest rating accorded to universities in Malaysia – in the Rating System for Malaysia Higher Education Institutions (SETARA).
UCSI’s programmes are recognised by leading professional bodies and organisations. Among them are the Society of Actuaries, ACCA, CPA, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, Pacific Asia Travel Association and Southeast Asian Directors of Music.
UCSI’s many partnerships and collaborations promote internationalisation, joint recognition as well as student and staff mobility. UCSI students and staff have been selected for high impact research programmes at Harvard Medical School, Imperial College London, Tsinghua University and the University of British Columbia, among others. Our collaboration with the best universities also opens doors for students, evinced by the opportunity to gain the Bachelor of Medical Science - a second degree - from the University of Melbourne via UCSI's Doctor of Medicine programme.
UCSI’s academic staff are at the forefront of their careers. Over 27% are PhD holders, compared to an average of 16% at other private universities in Malaysia*.
